Is YOZAX just SEEEK?
No. We have legally and formally folded SEEEK limited and started YOZAX Limited. Rebrand isn't the correct word technically its more so 'business restructuring'.
There are a few reasons we chose this route:
SEEEK was an un-sustainable business model and had many recurring issues. When we created SEEEK we had no idea it would blow up the way it did – and we weren’t ready for that, which means our team and servers weren’t ready either. SEEEK started to spiral into a business with several issues rather than a successful business model which it was becoming steadily impossible to rescue it. Which is why we shut it down and rebranded as YOZAX.
Name Change for Image & Growth: YOZAX wants to shift its focus and improve its image. Rather than rebrand SEEEK, closing the company and starting a new one offered a fresh slate, especially when the new entity is better positioned for growth or new market opportunities. We learned a lot from our previous mistakes.
Regulatory & Licensing Needs: Telecom is a heavily regulated market, made infinitely more difficult for us by trying to operate and grow in so many markets at once, obtaining new licenses or adhering to updated regulations has been made much easier by starting a new entity with a more narrow, insulated market demographic.
A notable example of a company closing and starting a new entity is Google's transition to Alphabet Inc. in 2015. We also decided to go this route to allow a more concise ownership structure making taking on additional investors and securing licenses at the parent company level and also for the company image reasons listed above.
What’s different with YOZAX?
YOZAX is an entirely new entity, it’s a fresh service with a new team and a distinct business model. This means that we have had to make some fundamental changes in the way we operate and the service, but the trade-off is that we can now provide a better and more stable all-round service. We can now grow more naturally, and we can make sure that we can support and sustain that growth.
What does this mean for existing SEEEK users?
Your Account:
Anyone who made an account on SEEEK.co BEFORE 13th September can login as normal and their account data will be synced. Working eSIMs will transfer over but international and broken ones will drop. You may need to reset your password but in most cases it will work. Your existing GB will NOT transfer over and we will not be able to issue you the difference on your YOZAX eSIM.
If you registered a NEW account on YOZAX.com between 10th October - 14th October, the YOZAX.com account takes precedence and your SEEEK.co eSIM wouldn’t have moved over and will expire on its expiry date as they will have a new YOZAX eSIM.
If you paid for a skip and haven’t yet received it, make sure you can access your account (login) and complete the new onboarding steps. Also make sure your address is set: https://YOZAX.com/onboard/location as we now require a verified address to provide connectivity.
Once these steps are completed, you should automatically receive your eSIM. If 24 hours passes, please contact support.
If you paid for a skip and live in a country no longer supported (i.e, Canada, US or Australia) after the 1st October please contact support for a refund.
The eSIMs are free so any skips paid for and completed before the 1st October won’t be refunded as per the SEEEK skip the queue terms of sale.
Your Personal Data:
Your personal data is safe. All payment info is still secured with our payment providers and encrypted and abides by our still up-to-date PCI DSS compliance.
Your GBs:
There is a decrease in the allotted number of GBs. At YOZAX we only offer 1GB (at the moment) this helps us keep costs down and it keeps the tech simple. Simpler tech = fewer potential issues. We're aiming to be real simple, back to basics. Once we get the basics right, we can grow. We learnt from SEEEK that growing too fast has negative outcomes.
Coverage:
After we rebranded from SEEEK we made the decision to cover a smaller area so we could focus on providing a great service and grow naturally while being able to keep the same level of service. We will be adding more countries to the coverage zone in the future!
If you wish to suggest a new country or you are not in a covered zone then you can join our waitlist here: https://YOZAX.com/waitlist - This will then notify you when your chosen zone is now covered.
It’s not seamless but you'll all agree SEEEK was a hot mess. This is the best outcome for everyone and whilst dramatic, you can already see the results for YOZAX, we now have responsive support, fully working eSIMs and have ditched the required payments which went against the very thing we set out to do - free mobile data for everyone.
While we appreciate concerns stemming from past experiences with SEEEK, we encourage you to judge YOZAX based on its own merits. Our focus is on delivering excellent service, including reliable eSIMs and robust support. We kindly ask that any reviews and opinions reflect your actual experience with YOZAX, and we welcome you to try our service first hand to provide a fair and honest review. Your experience with us will speak for itself!
